I think that this text: "The prefix inter- refers to the internationalism which was (hoped to be) one of the key traits of communism." is little bit strong expression to explain word "inter". If we think that "inter" always means only internationalism, perhaps Internet too is a main tool for promoting world-wide communism, what it isn't, because it is highly regulated in communism and islamism.
Finland, for example, was not only member of OIRT, but also EBU, not for promoting communism, but protecting her both side neutrality by being bipartial.

Logo
[edit]Actually, I remember Intervision broadcastings in Polish TV in communist era, and the logo displayed before them was different: it was a picture of Chopin monument in Warsaw. The only similarity was that there was the text "INTERVISION" above it and "INTERWIDIENIE" below it. I can't find this one on this page either, where there are several Intervision logos presented. None of them I ever saw before. So it seems to me that there was in fact no commonly used logo for Intervision, but different logos were used by local television networks to mark Intervision auditions. 82.210.159.30 19:12, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
"and also Austria"?
[edit]I'm confused by the text "and also Austria" which seems to have been added in the edit at 18:43, 16 December 2007. Can this be clarified? Hnc14 (talk) 15:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Map
[edit]Why Czechoslovakia, despite not only being a member of OIRT but also having organization headquarters in her capital, Prague, is not listed on the map? Dart Wafel (talk) 01:13, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
