Barda is a fictional character from the DC Comics universe. She is a part-time member of the Justice League of America, and is married to Mr. Miracle. She was born in Apokolips, and during her time there became the leader of a all-female fighting group called the Female Furies. However, shsoon became sensitive to the evil of Apokolips under Granny Goodness. She was promoted to a Special Powers Force under Darkseid, who is a leader of Apokolips. Here she met Scott Free, The future Mr. Miracle, and when Darkseid declared war on New Genesis, The two of them escaped. Big Barda, as she is called, stands at seven feet tall. Her mega-rod gives her the ability to fly, fire energy blasts at her opponents, and make her opponents more dense as well. As a New God, she also has super strength to aid her in her cause. She has been called the strongest woman in the world, being able to lift 50 tons. She first appeared in the Mister Miracle comic #4, created by Jack Kirby in 1971.
