Suggestion for search statistics
[edit]Given that we want Wikipedia to be as valuable as possible for users, it would be valuable to have statistics on number of frequent searches. especially important are statistics on most frequent search misses and most frequently searched for stubs. Probably, many of the writers and editors want to prioritize those articles that will be read often. If such statistics articles were stored, and linked to from the community portal, contributors would have a way of knowing where they should concentrate their efforts if they wanted to be of most help to people searching for information. This way we might be able to quickly reduce the number of searches that do not result in an article found. We might also quickly reduce the portion of searches that find a stub rather than a good article. Etxrge 12:57, 4 Nov 2004 (UTC)
