The USA PATRIOT Act

The information you added to the USA PATRIOT Act is out of place and incorrect. The section you added it to is a listing of provisions set to expire on Dec 2005. That is not the area to add a lengthy description of the provision. Also, the provision you described allows federal investigators access to business records (including your library records) without a court order for investigations allowed under the FISA. The FISA describes in painful detail what investigations are valid. Just claiming "It's Terrorism" is not valid under the FISA. The FISA is available in many places. I prefer to use the Congress' website. You may also use the USA Act or USA PATRIOT Act as that section has not changed much (the USA Act removed 'backed by foreign powers' from International Terrorism to allow investigators to go after Al Queda). A full description of what investigations are legal would be a great benefit to the USA PATRIOT Act article on Wikipedia. Kainaw 19:40, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
