No it doesn't. It is official. So either you are trolling or have an agneda against a particular religious group. Stop pushing this again and again. You might get reported. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 19:56, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Rangdum image of just about half a megapixel (MP) size, from 2011, is a nice composition but horrible quality. When this image was added, there were few images available from the region. That is no longer the case, we now have more than a dozen featured pictures and hundreds of quality images of Ladakh. The Shyok image, while of much bigger size (14MP), is extremely noisy, oversharpened and unbalanced in light and composition.
Only two images are allowed in the infobox per 2019 consensus, but that doesn’t mean they have to be so dismal. I’ve chosen two images of excellent quality and composition—one a featured picture, and the other a quality image—to replace the outdated, unappealing and low quality images. The first image [1] (by Tagooty) is a view of the Himalayan range near Padum (visible in the lower left corner) in west-central Ladakh (district Kargil), which was unanimously elevated to featured picture status earlier this year. The second [2] (by Eatcha) is a 2018 image showing Changthangi goats (well-known for pashmina) near the famous Pangong Lake in east-central Ladakh (district Leh), judged a quality image at commons. The first one is of exceptional quality and the second has high educational value, each from different districts/regions of the territory. If there are any other comparable images, those can be used instead. -- UnpetitproleX (talk) 16:35, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try to look for it. If I remember correctly from the last time I read it (I wasn't part of that discussion), it was a narrow consensus reached for the lead paragraphs and infoboxes of J&K, PAJK, GB and Ladakh (this article). UnpetitproleX (talk) 05:31, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
