User talk:BushIsEvil
<<Removed Lunatic Ranting>>
It is commonly held doctrine that public figures, by virtue of their positions, open themselves to ridicule and parody. Wikipedia should not become a censorship ground for the Republicans. Yes, blatant vandalism and clearly false info. should be reverted (and I'm sure I'll keep you on your toes under various usernames and anonymous IPs), but trying to shut out liberal ideas is just un-American.
I would like to point out that the personal attacks began when RickK decided to call my username "unacceptable". I called him unacceptable, conservative, right-wing and Republican. He reverted my comments on his usertalk page, which I found reprehensible, and called him a faggott. (I should point out that I am myself gay, so this is tantamount to an African-American using the N-word.) Only the last "faggott" attack should count against me. The "unacceptable, conservative, right-wing and Republican" attack was self-defense.

I've unblocked your IP but not this account name.So you can relogin under a different name. I'm sorry that your intro to Wikipedia has been so negative. Please do not call anyone names though. In fact please don't edit RickK page at all. If you want to let off some steam, feel free to talk to me on my user page. Theresa Knott (Nate the Stork) 22:41, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
If you want to contribute to Wikipedia, please login under a more acceptable username. Thank you. — Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 23:00, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Username policy
[edit]I know that this must be a pretty bad way to start off- and I'm sorry that you've had so many problems so far (Hope I don't add to your frustration!). RickK got the bit about your usename being unacceptable from Wikipedia:Username. If you scroll down to the Inappropriate usernames section, it says:
No inflammatory usernames: Wikipedia does not allow inflammatory or offensive user names. Inflamatory usernames are needlessly discouraging to other contributors, and disrupt and distract from our task of creating an encyclopedia.
The name "BushIsEvil" is inherantly inflammatory and it might anger some republicans (thereby being discouraging to other contributers, and [disrupting/distracting] from our task of creating an encyclopedia). Wikipedia does have a pretty big community, and if you steer clear from personal attacks, vandalism and other 'bad things,' you'll probably find that it's a really great place to be! Anyways, I understand why you might be frustrated. Please consider creating another account (how about "FirstnameLastname"?), and exploring places like Wikipedia:Community portal to find stuff to do. You can also create your own articles- just make sure that it's noteworthy!
Please understand that while we do often have (sometimes very informal) discussions on talk pages, that doesn't mean that Wikipedia is like a forum site. We have a bunch of rules and regulations that can get you into trouble if you don't follow them. If you have any questions, you can come on to the #wikipedia chat on IRC, leave a message at the village pump, or ask me on my talk page. -[[User:Frazzydee|Frazzydee|✍]] 23:32, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
The main thing is - we are all hear to build an encylopedia. If that's not what you want to do then you shouldn't be hear. If you do want to build then you should choose a username that offends no one (even right wingers) If you want to ridicule Bush, get a website. Theresa Knott (Nate the Stork) 23:49, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
