This page was a duplicate of slug (mass). Right after I created, I realized that it was a duplicate. I've merged the two articles under slug (mass), and would now like to have slug (unit) deleted.Bcrowell 19:05, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)

My goodness, I haven't heard of slugs in decades. Does anyone still use them? And poundals, mustn't forget poundals... Which weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of gold? That's a trick question, but most people who spot the trick still get the wrong answer. The correct answer is, or was that a pound of feathers weighs more than a pound of gold, but an ounce of feathers weighs less than an ounce of gold. (Because a feathers are weighed in Avoirdupois weight and gold is measured in Troy weight. Or were). (And a pint's a pound the world around, except in countries that use the Imperial system where "a pint of pure water/Weighs a pound and a quarter.) Slugs, oh my...
