Band article POV's
[edit]- I have noticed that most articles on bands / musical artists tend to be very POV, and I am trying to correct this when I can find it.
--Right on, brother! Evidently some people have no idea of the difference between a music review and an encyclopedia. We badly need people to do this. Cheers, Slac speak up! 07:47, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
George, your improvements on the Waterfall model are fantastic. Well done! --huwr 08:14, 19 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there, I removed the "however, this may not be correct" bit from your edit cause it was superfluous, imho. The "Some argue" already clarifies that it is an opinion, not fact. Kyaa the Catlord 00:53, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Revolting Cocks
[edit]Hi. Yeah the guys from Revolting Cocks aren't all Belgians so you made a good decision by removing the category. I don't think there's a category to classify partially Belgian bands and as a matter of fact I don't think we need one. We'll just let it be. Greenthings Taarten Gâteaux 16:29, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit]SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 16:34, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Spelling
[edit]I don't mean to be rude, but please realise that "refered" is not a word, and is spelled "referred." I have never dropped a note like this, but you used referred several times in this rewrite. Sorry to bother you about spelling, as the article was great. Linuxerist E/L/T 17:21, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Hi George,
Got your point...hey buddy honestly there is no advertisment motive behind that article. I am a amateur wiki user, so infact I request you if u could help me gt the article to wiki standards. Suggest me some changes that i can incorporate and make it in-sinq with what cannot be declared as an advertisment.

xUML
[edit]Sure, I will be glad to copyedit the article for you. :) Will work on it soon. Did some, but time to eat. Good article by the way. ~Linuxerist E/L/T 20:33, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- I've reverted your two edits, looks like aspellfox or whatever you're using has gone nuts. Lots of text has been copied and pasted from random location x to random location y. diff. Thanks for the start of a copyedit though, I appreciate it. GeorgeBills 05:45, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- I have absouletly no clue what I did... it seemed to have replaced all references of "ass" in a word to UML. I will report the bug, and do it by hand, only looking up what is needed. ~Linuxerist E/L/T 10:21, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
direct quotes misspellings
[edit]unfortunately it is often difficult to tell if the editor mistakenly misspelled a quote or the author did and it should be preserved. if the later is the case, then a [sic] tage should be added either in commenting or directly in the article. i've inserted one so this won't happen with me or others again. really this is a misdoing on my end though, and so i do appologize. one arm hair pulled as punishment, as is my policy. yowzah! They've killed the List of famous failures in science and engineering! You Bastards!!
[edit]Mmx1 is taking the fight that I have over the F-14 and F-111 to the failure page, and he has nominated them for deletion. The wiki-thugs are all voting to delete the page. Mmx1 has reversed the F-14 page to state that it is not, and has never been designed as a maneuverable air superiority fighter, and is not accepting any contrary citations up to and including a F-14 test pilot, Janes Defence, and Aviation Week. He is apparently taking revenge against other pages. Please go to the deletion page and tell the administrators what is going on. Look at the patterns of MMx. He regular accuses others of gross misinformation and summarily reverts most edits as a self-appointed judge of all truth, but in fact should not be allowed this leeway. --matador300 10:59, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Studio L2
[edit]The STUDIO L2 page has been CHANGED!! - I was actually working with and the changes was been performed at the same time as the warnings came up. Now it does not sound as an advert (it did first, since the next was copy pasted, then I CHANGED it)... OK? Nike
Replaceable fair use Image:Ministry (band).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ministry (band).jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Spike Wilbury ♫ talk 15:13, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ministry-EarlyTraxAlbum.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ministry-EarlyTraxAlbum.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:13, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of VAWS
[edit]The article VAWS has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. UnitedStatesian (talk) 21:40, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
