User talk:Clementi
Hello Clementi, welcome to Wikipedia. I just noticed your work on Symphony No. 41 (Mozart), Robert Schumann, and William Tell. I am delighted that we have a new user interested in classical music here; it is a sadly neglected area of the encyclopedia and there is lots to do!
I see you are off to good start, but here are some useful links if you need any additional help:
You can sign posts on talk pages by entering four tildes (~~~~~); the system automatically inserts your username with a datestamp.
BTW, I noticed you made quite a number of small edits to William Tell in a short period of time. Try to use the Preview button where possible and only save the changes when you are done. Multiple saves fills up the Recent changes page and makes the article's Page history harder to read.
If you have any questions, see Wikipedia:Help, post a question to the Village pump, or leave a message on my Talk page. Enjoy, -- Viajero 11:37, 10 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Hi, and welcome again to Wikipedia! While most of your additions are supurb, I'm suggesting that Jeffrey Pratt be deleted, as Wikipedia generally tries to only write articles about people who are known in some fashion, rather than normal everyday sorts of people, and this person does not appear to be known (yet, anyway). The main reason is that it is difficult to verify facts about people who aren't at least moderately well-known; a secondary reason is that we consider it unlikely anybody would look for such articles in an encyclopedia. In any case, just wanted to mention it here, since most of your work is quite good, and suggesting that page be deleted is just part of keeping Wikipedia's focus on the sorts of articles we'd like, not anything personal. --Delirium 08:44, Jan 12, 2004 (UTC)
You can help improve the articles listed below! This list updates frequently, so check back here for more tasks to try. (See Wikipedia:Maintenance or the Task Center for further information.)
Help counter systemic bias by creating new articles on important women.
Help improve popular pages, especially those of low quality.
I'm assuming you are Jeffrey Pratt so I've moved that article to your user page, User:Clementi. If this is not the case, let me know and I will delete that as well (or you can fill it with something else). Cheers, Jiang 00:37, 17 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Parley_pratt.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Parley_pratt.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 23:04, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi, you stated that "the copyright holder has irrevocably released all rights to it, allowing it to be freely reproduced, distributed, transmitted, used, modified, built upon, or otherwise exploited in any way by anyone for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, with or without attribution of the author.",
Please can you provide some evidence that the copyright holder has essentially released this image into the public domain? Thanks Arniep 01:32, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:KirkDressUniform.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:KirkDressUniform.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Fair use rationale for Image:KirkDressUniform.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KirkDressUniform.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia 16:54, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi Clementi. I deleted the genealogy chart (Adam-Seth) you added to Genesis - but regretfully, as the basic idea is a good one. Unfortunately, it cluttered the text where it was places, plus, more importantly, it was illegible (text too small). But something like this, tracing the genealogies, could be useful - you might like to look first within Wikicommons, and if there's nothing there see if you can find something outside. Rihannsu (language)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Rihannsu (language), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Rihannsu (language). Judgesurreal777 (talk) 01:53, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

The following lists individuals who have committed mass murder, defined as killing at least four people at the same time or over a relatively short period of time. [edit]Use in a documentary | |
Dear Clementi,
I work as an assistant producer for a television production company called Blink Films based in the UK. We are producing a documentary for the Smithsonian Channel exploring the real life events that inspired the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Within our film we are exploring the story of Barney and Betty Hill and to help illustrate their story in the film we would like to license the image of zeta_reticuli.png through in order that we can use it. I was hoping you could contact me about this. Here is my email: crispin.green@blinkfilmsuk.com. I would be hugely grateful if you could please email me so we could talk about this. Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Help with Waray-Waray
[edit]Hello Clementi, I'm contacting you because we need some Waray-Waray translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on war.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Waray-Waray Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Disambiguation link notification for August 7
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page State. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
