Inherently POV, therefore there's no reason to correct the misspelling and miscapitalization; just delete. JamesMLane 00:29, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Delete. Good grief, the things people will do to get their personal point across. Courtland 00:32, 2005 Feb 19 (UTC)
- Delete. inherently POV and hate-mongering category. Not to say that such language may make wikipedia be sued for slandering and defamation. Mikkalai 00:59, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. I don't know how it's inherently POV. There are people who think these things and aren't afraid to say them publically. I was trying to split up Category:LGBT rights opposition between people and organizations. If you want to rename it "People who oppose LGBT rights" or "LGBT rights opposition - individuals" or something else but it's important to be able to find these people. It's just like categorizing someone by "Christian right" or "LGBT musician." Alison9 01:42, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- It's more like categorizing people as "Pro-Life" or "Pro-Choice", which I also opposed. It's not useful to have a category of people with nothing in common except that they happened to make similar comments on one particular issue. To identify Maggie Gallagher and the like, a category for activists on that side of the issue would be OK. The term "homophobic" should be avoided, though, because it's a POV way of describing these... uh... well, these homophobes, but I call them that because I don't like them either. On the minor points, the correct spelling is publicly and article titles, like headings, should use sentence case. JamesMLane 08:03, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Delete. A category too silly to be kept around. Lokifer 01:46, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)

- ...or perhaps transform it to or merge it with Category:Public personalities with phobias and lump them in there? Courtland 01:49, 2005 Feb 19 (UTC)
- I wasn't being 100% facetious with that suggestion, but you need to consider two things. First, is there a Category:Publically antisemitic people? I don't think so .. and I am NOT comparing the two groups of the fear/hate here, for the record. Second, is "homophobic" a euphemism for "hatred of gays"? Or is it a true phobia, in which case it could be classified as a disease, perhaps ... but I don't really think that people who are typically referred to or refer to themselves as homophobic have the same type of disability as those with agoraphobia, for instance. - Delete, since I was asked. Bad capitalization, and the term "homophobic", as I learned by editing homophobia is considered by some to be non-neutral. A list of notable people who have expressed disapproval of homosexuality, dislike of LGBT people as a class, or more importantly, advocated violence against them, would be valuable to have for a variety of reasons. It should not be created in a category with this name. -- Beland 07:28, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Delete as inherently POV. Radiant! 21:02, Feb 24, 2005 (UTC)
