Eponymous
[edit]Removed category "Eponymous...structures" because it's not named after Arachne, or anyone else. - Nunh-huh 05:08, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- No, but they are sometimes named Granulationes Pacchioni or Pacchioni's granulations. That is why they received that category from someone. JFW | T@lk 11:14, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Even if that were a name that were still used (and I think it is not - I'm reasonably sure that's a historical use), it would be pretty mystifying to come to "Arachnoid granulation" from "Category:Eponymous anatomical structures". (This is perhaps one of the problems with categories-as-we-know-them.) To make sense, we'd have to create an article "Pacchioni's granulation", put "see arachnoid granulation" there, and put the "Eponymous anatomic structures" category on THAT page. If our Down('s) Syndrome were at "Trisomy 21" I wouldn't expect an eponymous tag there, either. - Nunh-huh 17:05, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- It could perhaps be solved by putting a category on the redirect page, but I'm not sure that's considered kosher. I'll leave it to the category afficianados! - Nunh-huh 21:28, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Done -- see Paccini's granulation. It works if you put the Category on the same line as the Redirect -- anything after a newline is discarded. Catherine | talk 21:33, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
